I love red wine so much, and I’m thinking of showing my love for it through my hair!
My main source of hair inspiration is Pinterest and while scrolling mindlessly past midnight and looking through all those gorgeous hair trends, I saw this:
..and I’m like, OMG! How delicious!
Since the cold months are here again and because I fell in love with burgundy hair at first sight of this photo, I’m thinking of colouring my hair deep red and maybe make some more changes here and there. We’re all about ash hues recently but this burgundy hair trend is definitely making a comeback this winter.
1. Long + Straight
I really envy ladies who can grow their hair really long. And changing your long black/brown/blonde mane to burgundy won’t disappoint. Just look at these!
2. Long + Wavy
Long and wavy burgundy hair is just perfect. You can choose to style it into layers, ombre it, highlight it, add volume – just perf!
3. Long + Curly
Glamorous locks for a glamorous day!
4. Medium + Straight
These medium-length burgundy hairs look sexy with highlights and layers!
5. Medium + Wavy
There’s nothing boring about medium-length burgundy hair. Just look at these!
6. Medium + Curly
Burgundy hair can vary in shades – some more pink, some more red, and some has a tinge of plum to it. But it definitely looks great on various skin tones!
7. Short + Straight
Bob cuts are equivalent to mum hair. Want to change things up a bit? Burgundy is the perfect winter colour!
8. Short + With Volume
How to spice things up in the hair department? Add colour then add volume!
9. Short + Curly
Who said short hair ain’t sexy?
Burgundy hair comes in different (but similar) terms – maroon, deep wine, dark cherry red, red wine, dark red, chocolate red, plummy red – but these are all considered burgundy hair and the outcome will depend on your hair colour base. Hair dye and sometimes your hair colour can even change in shades because of the lighting! If you want to achieve the burgundy shade that you want, definitely go to a trustworthy and experienced hairdresser since they know how exactly to mix and match colours. They can also recommend the best shade for you skin tone and undertone.
