Low Fat Turkey Burgers are a yummy delicious alternative, there great for lunches and dinners, so simple to prepare! Turkey Mince is widely available at your local supermarket – you will find it where you find chicken mince. It is usually cheaper than chicken mince, it is lower in fat than chicken mince – and when cooked – you can’t taste the difference between turkey mince and chicken mince. Turkey mince is available in 500 gram packs. This recipe for Low Fat Turkey Burgers uses 250 grams – but I highly recommnd doubling the recipe!
You can also purchase turkey mince and use it in place of any chicken mince recipe – just to cut down on your fat intake.
Turkey sometimes has a bad name for being ‘dry’ when cooked – but not turkey mince. In fact I can never tell the difference when my hubby makes these for me – and unless I see the packet – I never know if it is chicken or turkey!
Low Fat Turkey Burgers are a delicious and healthy ‘cheat’ if you are trying to be good – just cut out the cheese and sauce, stack up on the salad and use a low-carb bun – and you have a healthy takeaway meal at home.
